A local favorite...why is this our first time here?
November 1st It's been a year since I’ve stepped onto a plane to go anywhere. Usually Beck and I would have been to Hawaii and traveled to some of her Navis accounts but with COVID-19 most all of her accounts have been not fully open or the Navis company has cancelled all un essential travel to those accounts. Our last major trip used trains planes auto and boat (our awesome Europe trip….) a few months ago we decided we were going to take a risk and plan a relaxing get away trip….Beck and I would be in PV 2 whole weeks and Rob and Rachel would join us on our last week. We Love PV and since they decided that it was safe to come to the area we jumped at the chance to book the trip for all of us! So today was the day! Here we go! Travel so far has been easy starting with us waking at 230am jumping into the truck with our packed belongings, picking up Logan in bend who will drive our car back to our house (and pick us up on return) The Redmond airport is not very busy so gettin...
What a great few days of relaxation and food! There are sooo many great places to enjoy your favorite meals. Lots of fish from the seaside . Here are a few places we went to along the way Not in order....One of our favs so far is Hacienda San Angel, the former home of t he late Richard Burton. He purchased the Hacienda's main villa as a Valentine's Day gift for his wife, Susan in 1977, after falling in love with Puerto Vallarta as he filmed John Huston's The Night of the Iguana there in the mid 1960's. Short video clip of the home can be found on the link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKTiCgKZOBA An amazing piece of history with great views and great food! Desert above Salad was amazing! Terrific View! and the best fried calamari on the planet (that i know of)! Second fave food right now as La Palapa! Great beachside dining! Pictured below are coconut shrimp! Taking daily walks around town to save from gaining our weight back...its gonna be tough! ...
Day 2 November 2nd. Just walkin' Malecon walk! some of the most beautiful sculptures and art can be found along the romantic zone along the port of Puerto Vallarta. We jumped into a uber from our resort and asked the driver just drop us off into town. We really want to find a little spa with little fish that love to eat the dead cells from your feet. we did this in Greece (insert video here). So thats the inspiration for our trip this morning. When we traveled to Greece last year there was a lake full of them. View that here: https://vimeo.com/376578569 Not today...the fish weren't bitting...AH...Get it? But the big fish were! We stopped to check out the new pier and saw this cute little with a big one! Durado...she caught herself! One of Becks favorite things is looking for the big iguanas in the trees along the cualle. We saw a dew huge ones along the river in the street shops.. We walked thru town and saw some of the old houses and neighborhoods up on the hill along the c...
